Technology Webinar | Virtual Summer STEM Camps: Biomedical Engineering Coding and Games

We are hosting five weeks of FREE virtual STEM summer camps. These will be held on Saturdays from August 6 to September 3 from 10 am to 12 pm MST (Arizona). These sessions are instructor-led lessons and activities, including computer games and coding. Once you register you can attend one or all five events.

Biomedical Engineering Coding and Games, Summer 2022

The field of biomedical engineering applies engineering principles and design concepts to find solutions for human health. This summer, over five sessions, we will explore the skeletal and muscular system, design prosthetics, learn about biosensors, regenerative medicine and careers in orthopedic surgery. Some sessions introduce computer coding. The use of engineering design concepts is reinforced throughout the series. We will also teach kids to explore websites of medical products using a scientific approach. Some sessions will involve hands-on activities that kids can follow and try at home using materials easily found in school supplies and around the house. In addition, we will use Minecraft Education to build structures and reinforce concepts. Each student will be provided with a one-year subscription to Minecraft Education.
