About the Event :

I took my first yoga class in 2002 when I was studying philosophy and business in college. Since then, I have witnessed first-hand how yoga changes peoples' lives and improves their mental and physical health. I became a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) in 2012 with Yoga Alliance not only to deepen my own practice, but to have the opportunity to share the wonderful benefits of yoga with others!

I teach Vinyasa Flow yoga, with an emphasis on adapting for my particular students’ needs. In my experience, I happily modify classes for Slow Flow Vinyasa, Power Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Yin, Prenatal and Restorative style yoga.

If you are new to yoga and take a class with me, you won’t be left behind! I am very thorough in making sure my students understand the “why” behind each pose, and how to properly get into and out of a pose safely. I put a lot of effort into detailed explanations for participants in my group classes so that they can find the right level of comfort and correct alignment in their poses. We are all born with a unique body and anatomy. A pose may look and feel different for everyone, but the benefits of yoga are the same!

We live in a world today where the emphasis on correcting health ailments and pain lies so often in getting the best prescription or pill. Why not first try out yoga as an alternative? The medicine of yoga is a strong one, but it’s not a quick fix. Success through yoga requires consistency and commitment. If you choose yoga over a quick fix, your body will thank you ten times over!
