About the Event :

The workshop will be presented by Dr Kirsten Barnicot and Eloise Stevens (City University of London). It will draw on the learnings from the BOOST and BOOST-2 research projects, which were evaluating the video feedback intervention for positive parenting in perinatal mental health services. The studies were funded by the National Institute from Health Research and the Barts Charity, and produced insights on the benefits and challenges of video feedback approaches in perinatal mental health. New developments in using video feedback over video conferencing software, led by the Anna Freud Centre, will also be shared. Attendees will experience a taster in using video feedback techniques through hands-on exercises and analysis of video data, and an insight into the potential benefits and how to overcome potential challenges, with an emphasis on feeding their learnings back into their wider clinical practice.

The workshop was accredited as CPD by the Royal College of Nursing in 2021 – re-accreditation for 2022 is currently being sought.

Dates: 27th May 2022 OR 10th June 2022.

Time: 9.30am to 12.30pm
