About the Event :

We are delighted to be able to offer a half-day session to raise awareness of the perinatal and infant mental health services which are available in Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale (HMR).

Each session will be facilitated by a member of HMR early attachment service.

By the end of this session practitioners will:

  • Understand the importance of good perinatal and infant mental health
  • Be more confident in knowing how to screen for perinatal and infant mental health struggles and observe the parent infant relationship
  • Know about the range of perinatal and infant mental health services located in HMR
  • Know how to refer to perinatal and infant mental health services in HMR
  • Know what support is on offer to practitioners who work with families in HMR

This series of training sits at level 1 (general knowledge and awareness) of the Greater Manchester perinatal infant mental health training matrix.

Please note this session is for professionals who work with families who live or are registered with a GP in Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale and is aimed at any professional who comes into contact with families during pregnancy or within the first 5 years of the child's life.

Confirmation of your place on training will be sent via email after your answers to the screening questions have been reviewed.

We look forward to you joining us.
