About the Event :

Many of us see Yoga as beautiful, slim humans bending in beautiful impossible ways on Instagram and you may say to yourself - this isn't for me. I'm not flexible; I can't do yoga. My tummy is too big. My boobs are too big. My wrists aren't strong enough. I'm too stiff. I'm here to tell you that that is RUBBISH. As a squidgy, tattooed, queer person it took me a long time to find teachers and classes I felt comfortable, happy and acknowledged in. It took even longer for a teacher to say, "you're not doing it wrong, you've just got long legs compared to your arms so it will be difficult for you."

I want to give you the confidence to get the same enjoyment out of Asana yoga practice that I do, and give you all the tools you need to adjust and support yourself in any yoga class going forward.

This Online class will run through the following poses very slowly, with all sorts of adjustments and ideas to make the pose (asana) work for your body.

- Downward Dog

- Full Sun Salutation with all poses and transitions

- Mountain Pose / Standing

- Yoga Squat Positions (Goddess, Garland)

- Chair

- Warrior 1/High Lunge

- Warrior 2

- Extended Side Angle

- Tree Pose, Other Balancing Poses

- Low lunge variations

- Pigeon Pose

- Seated Positions

- Twisted Positions

This will be an interactive class where you can interrupt and ask questions all you like. I am here for you!!!

I have been injured during yoga practice because I hadn't had basics explained to me, which I only learned when I underwent my Teacher Training - I don't want any of you being injured! This class will be free, but donations at the end of the class will be welcome (suggested between £5-£15)

You will need ;

A mat (but not to worry if you don't have one)

A couple of cushions

Blocks / Bricks or a Towel Folded like this

Strap or Towel (honestly they both do the same thing!)

All ticket holders will be emailed the link the day of the Workshop xx
