About the Event :

To commemorate Mental Health Awareness week, join us as we engage in a discussion with our panel about the challenges of mental health and well-being faced by Family Law Practitioners and the support and help that is available.

Our Speakers

Gillian Bishop: Gillian is a consultant at Family Law in Partnership and a founding member of the firm. Gillian will be speaking on the panel in her capacity as a Champion at Law Care. Law Care is a charity that assists those in the legal community that experience mental health and well-being problems.

Karen Kabweru-Namulemu: Karen practices as a Family and Public Access barrister and is a qualified Mediator at KCH Garden Square. Karen has considerable experience of Public Law and Private Law Children Act Proceedings.

Camilla Choudhury-Khawaja: Camilla is a Direct Access Barrister and founder of the legal consultancy firm, The Women's Lawyer, whose aim is to offer support and legal advice to those affected by the legal aid cuts. Camilla also worked as a lecturer for sixteen years at the Universities of London and Westminister.
