About the Event :

The latest lockdown has taken an undeniable toll on collective and individual mental health, especially in sectors supporting vulnerable people.

But it's not all doom and gloom. There are ways housing associations and charities can help both their frontline teams and those who benefit from their services, protect their mental health.

And that's what our guest speaker, Stephen Gillatt, will cover in this session dedicated exclusively to key workers and frontline workers in social housing and the third sector.

From this session, you can expect:

  • Observations on how mental health is managed in housing associations from lived experience
  • Advice on how the latter could be improved to increase the quality of service
  • A practical "mental health" MOT
  • Open discussion and Q&A

A little bit on Stephen Gillatt

Stephen started working as a social housing practitioner 11 years ago. He is also the author of Mad, Sad, Dysfunctional Dad, and an event speaker on business and lived mental health.

Having supported adults with learning difficulties and mental illness whilst battling his own struggles, he will be bringing his own insights on the delicate balance of helping vulnerable people, whilst protecting our mental health at a personal and organisational level. An interactive, insightful session you won’t want to miss!
