About this Webinar
About this session
Trauma comes from the Greek word for “wound.” Psychological trauma can happen as the result of a variety of physical or psychological events, and many people who have experienced trauma will develop Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
This 2-hour webinar provides an introduction into Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
By the end of the course, you will gain an understanding of PTSD, an awareness of the signs and symptoms, and you will learn some appropriate ways to support someone and refer them to suitable options. You will also learn about the brain’s response to trauma and associated trigger responses.
This course will be delivered over live webinar; via PowerPoint, breakout rooms, discussions and audio-visual aids.
1. A link and password to join the Zoom webinar will be emailed one day before the session and again one hour before the session. Please check your junk mailbox, if you have not received the link.
