Due to their ongoing success our programme of weekly HRD and HRM virtual round table boardrooms are continuing in 2021.
They were set up to provide a supportive discussion forum for senior HR professionals, where you can share ideas, best practice and seek input on ways to overcome challenges. There is the additional benefit of networking and collaboration. We very much hope you will want to be part of this growing community.
Topics range from current workplace challenges to raising awareness of future, strategic areas for focus.
Our Maintaining Focus – Mental Health is on Thursday 21st January 2021 at 12.30pm.
In 2020 the terms mental health and mental ill health became part of everyday vocabulary. We saw organisations doing great things to support employee wellbeing during the tough times of the pandemic. Given we all have mental health and there is no health without mental health, what happens next?
In this session we will discuss:
• From raising awareness to next steps. Equipping all employees with the knowledge and empathy to recognise their own needs for mental wellbeing and effectively sup-port others.
• What about the culture – what needs to happen so that talking about mental health becomes as open and acceptable as physical health.
• Are messages about wellbeing and mental health being re-enforced by key people role-modelling behaviours to reduce the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental ill health.
Each boardroom will last approx. 30 - 40 mins. Booking is via the Eventbrite booking link. Once your place has been confirmed you will receive your zoom meeting link for you to join the meeting. This will be sent 2 days before the event and again on the day of the event.
Please note that the boardrooms are peer to peer learning events, there will not usually be a presentation, but a facilitated discussion. The value in the session will come from active participation in the discussion and a sharing of ideas and expertise. As a result, access is strictly reserved for HRD's and HRM's who currently operate at a senior level.
